Golden snake armband from Pompeii

This is a golden snake armband from the ancient city of Pompei, which was destroyed by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 CE. The inscription inside reads "DOMINUS ANCILLAE SUAE" (From the master to his slave). It was most likely given to the female slave and lover of a wealthy man.
